3D Television & Lack Of Updates

3D TV

Happy New Year!  I haven’t had time to do any new posts on what’s going on in 3d.  When I get the time, I’ll try and throw up some tutorials, but that will most likely be a ways off.  Right now, I’m looking at buying a 3D tv.  I’ll have made my decision some time next week.  I’m looking at a number of deciding factors.  Number one being cost.  I’ll probably be going with a size 32 or 42 inch TV.  They aren’t bad for 3d, in fact, it’s probably quite good if you are going to be watching in close proximity.  The TV will have to be 1080p  I don’t want to go any lower than that, so no 720p bargain tv.  It makes sense that if you want to view the best 3d image possible on your television, that you have the highest resolution possible.  I’m not too impressed with these auto shutter glasses that have to be recharged either, so I’m going to check out my options there.  Do I have a particular brand in mind?  Yes I do.  I won’t reveal them yet though.  I still have a whole week to look at the other brands out there.  So you’ll be getting a review and pictures of the TV, if and when I decide to get one.

3D Updates & Movies

I have yet to talk about the movie Prometheus, but it looks absolutely awsome!  I bet its one of the top performing movies of the year and the 3d looks like it will be mind blowing.  Who wouldn’t want to see an Alien prequel in the 3rd dimension?  Big thanks to Ridley Scott for going back to the franchise, even if it is supposed to be a mostly stand alone movie.

HELLO IF YOU ALLOW ME ID LIKE TO COMMENT ABOUT 3D TV’S

I SEARCHED FOR 2 MONTHS STEADY ON LINE AND IT CAME DOWN TO THE PANASONIC VT30 AND THE SAMSUNG PLASMA PDN6500 BUT HERE IN CANADA THEY CALL IT THE 6900, WELL I FOUND A BLOG ON LINE THAT WAS MADE UP OF ALMOST 400 PPL THAT ALL OWNED THE SAMSUNG N6500, 59IN 3D PLASMA!! IMAGINE THAT HEY!! THEY COULD TELL YOU ABOUT THE 60 CYCLE HUM THE OLDER 3D TV’S WOULD AGUIRE AFTER 9 MONTHS OF USE, IT WAS CRAZY MAN HONEST BUT… BESIDES THAT… IT WAS FUCKING IMMPRESSIVE!! SO I CHECKED THEM ALL OUT AT THE BIG BOX STORE AND YOU KNOW WHAT!! …I ACTUALLY REALLY LIKED THE LED 3D FROM SHARP!! THEN I MET JOEY ( WHICH HAPPENS TO BE MY NAME AS WELL) THE ULTIMATE TV GURU/ SALESPERSON AT THE FUTURE SHOP HERE IN WINDSOR ONTARIO, WELL….ME BEING A SALES PERSON ALL MY LIFE AND WORKING FOR SOME OF THE BIGGEST COMPANIES ON THR PLANET….WELL I HAVE ALOT OF RESPECT FOR A GOOD SALES PERSON….AND THEY BETTER KNOW THERE SHIT CAUSE I WAS PRETTY WELL VERSED IN 3D’S….I MEAN I KNEW THEY HAD A 60 CYCLE HUMM FOR CRYIN OUT LOUD….LOL..BUT!!!….JOEY KNEW THAT TOO…AND SO WE FELT EACH OTHER OUT OVER THE PISSING CONTEST OF THE BETTER 3D TV, AND IT WAS FUNNNNN!!!!, HE SHOWED ME EVERY SINGLE ONE AND HE TALKED ABOUT GOOD AND BAD AND WE TALKED ABOUT THE SAMSUNG 6500 59IN PLASMA HE WAS SO RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING ABOUT IT, CAUSE I WANTED THE SHARPE!!!
ANY WAYS TO MAKE A SHORT STORY LONG….LOL IT WAS GREAT FOR THE FIRST 4-5 WEEKS AND THEN YOU KNOW WHAT…..(AND HERE’S WERE I IMPRESSED ME….) IT DIDNT SPARKLE LIKE IT DID THE FIRST DAY,,, IT HAD LOST SOMETHING TO IT WERE IT JUST DIDNT HAVE THAT WOW EFFSCT….MIND YOU IT WAS STILL COOL BUT MY EYES COULD TELL AND GUESS WHAT ….AFTER A CALL TO JOEY AND A CALL TO SAMSUNG…THEY REPLACED THE TV!!! NOW THATS FUCKING VERY COOL !!! SO ASK ME IF SAMSUNG IS THE BEST ON THE PLANET……FUCKING RIGHT THRY ARE….AND THE GLASSES …..YOU’LL WONT EVEN KNOW YOU HAVE THEM ON AFTER 3 MIN……SO GO GET ONE IMMEDIATLY….LOL

I did end up buying a 3d TV. I’ll be doing the review sometime soon. I actually got Tron Legacy in 3d. Even though the 3d was good, I found myself more impressed with the Pirates Of The Carribean: On Stranger Tides 3d Trailer. I guess it might have to do with the fact that alot of the backgrounds in Tron were Green Screen and the world was dark.
