3d Animation CGI
Welcome to my website 3d Animation CGI. It’s not a very clever title. I couldn’t really come up with a cool sounding name like “3d Avatar” or something else. I figured I should just make the title be exactly what the site will be about and what it will contain. What will it have you ask? It’ll cover anything that I find interesting in the world of 3d technology. This is the way the world is moving right now. Entertainment will be more immersive than ever in the coming years. While I don’t expect a “Matrix” like experience for a long time off, we are looking at the 3d movement of today. What will that be or what is it? It’s essentially a window in to the entertainment we see and hear. We are on the cutting edge right now, even if 3d is still kind of in its infancy. For those of you unfamiliar with the term CGI, it stands for “Computer Generated Imagery”. I myself am actually a 3d artist, 3d modeller and 3d animator. I’ve done a few portfolios in the past, but I’m using this website as a means to document, enhance, the creation of my latest 3d portfolio. Hopefully I can step up the quality of all 3 of my skills and those of you who are budding 3d animators can use this documented information to help yourself out as well. I have graduated with a Bachelor degree in 3d animation, but I don’t consider myself at the top of the lineup. I still have alot to learn. I can’t stand the limitations of computers and render times. Rendering is really what kills me when working on my 3d projects. I tend to like to try out photoreal 3d tests and my computer is definitely not up to ILM or Weta workstation standards. In fact, it’s probably time for an upgrade soon.
